The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (Top-Up) degree has been developed to offer a balance of academic and industrial knowledge to meet the needs of key employers within the North East region, along with national and international businesses.
During this degree, you will explore engineering principles in a range of applied mechanical applications, manufacturing systems and processes, modelling and analysis and product development, as well as gaining practical experience in destructive and non-destructive testing, finite element analysis and fracture mechanics.
Working alongside industry-experienced tutors, you will learn in a practical environment with access to industry-standard facilities, exceptional student support and gain skills to set you up for an exciting career in the engineering sector.
This course is mapped against the academic requirements of the Engineering Council UK-Spec for Incorporated Engineer (IENG) status and students are encouraged to join the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as a student affiliated member.
