Do you want to build a career in the engineering industry? Do you have a scientific mind, enjoy being hands-on and have a passion for developing new technologies?
This T-Level in Fabrication and Welding Technologies will help you to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you need to work in the engineering industry. Completing this course will allow you to specialise as a metal fabricator, pipe and plate welder or engineering technician.
On this two-year course, you will spend most of your time in college learning the theoretical and practical skills you will need, studying a range of topics from mechanical principles and applied electronics to health and safety coverage, business acumen and project management skills. You will complete the course with the ability to design, create and implement manufactured engineering technologies in complex mechanical systems, as well as the capacity to plan engineering projects of varying scales.
Alongside your studies, you will have the opportunity to take part in inter-college and national competitions to showcase your skills.
