Are you interested in a career in the design industry? Would you like to create your own designs? This Interior and Spatial Design degree will give you industry-aligned design skills and knowledge that respond to the changing shape of design. The course is unique in that you will learn a range of vocationally focused design principles and practical skills. You will become proficient with equipment such as a laser cutter and digital applications like Sketchup and the Adobe Suite as well as having the opportunity to develop your own commercial and residential schemes.

  • Produces works on commission basis for clients.
  • Markets and sells finished work directly to customers.
  • Liaises with writers and publishers to produce book illustrations.
  • Uses artistic skills to restore damaged artworks.
  • Approaches managers of galleries and exhibitions in order to get finished work displayed.
  • Builds up composition into finished work by carving, sculpting, etching, painting, engraving, drawing, etc..
  • Prepares sketches, scale drawings or colour schemes.
  • Selects appropriate materials, medium and method.
  • Onceives and develops ideas and ways of working for artistic composition.
