This hands-on Graphic Communication degree will teach you the fundamental processes and principles of graphic communication, digital design and creative advertising.
You will study key topics such as branding, user design and user interface and apply your learning in a real-life working context by solving communication based issues for real clients.
You will be highly creative, a problem solver and enjoy drawing as well as digital techniques. You will be taught by tutors with many years' experience working in the industry and who will support you to develop your professional skills and your ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A Foundation Degree or Level 5 equivalent in a relevant area.
If you are not a current Newcastle College University Centre student, you may be asked to show examples of your work or industry experience to confirm this course is right for you.

You will have the opportunity to work on live briefs to gain real-life work experience and develop your professional network. You will also benefit from the insight and experience of guest speakers from industry.
Where can I progress?
Once you complete your course you might seek employment as a graphic designer, artworker, digital designer or developer to name a few career options. You may wish to continue with your studies and progress onto a relevant Masters qualification or PGCE if you're looking to go into teaching.
