Do you want to take your passion for cooking to the next level? This Professional Cookery - Level 3 course will help you become a true MasterChef.

From a trip to France or Spain to develop your culinary skills, to working with European partners on live projects, you will develop your practical skills and knowledge, creating a recipe for a successful career in the catering industry.

Learn advanced skills in preparing meat dishes, fish dishes, poultry dishes and more, all whilst spending one day each week on a work placement in a local hotel or restaurant.

This course could help you land your dream role in the kitchen. You will gain an understanding of complex preparation and cooking methods and current techniques used within the industry. Utilising and accessing our state-of-the-art kitchens, you will gain a better understanding of seasonality, sustainability and financial implications.

What can I do with a qualification in Hospitality

Daily tasks:

  • Makes cake decorations, spreads icing, fillings and toppings on products.
  • Bakes bread, pastry and cakes.
  • Fills and glazes pastry, mixes ingredients for cakes.
  • Rolls and cuts pastry, stretches, kneads and moulds dough to form bread, rolls and buns.
  • Mixes ingredients using hand or machine to obtain the required consistency.
  • Weighs ingredients according to recipe.
