Protective Services - Level 1

Taught by ex-Met police officers and performance sport coaches, this Protective Services course has been designed to help students with lower GCSE grades gain skills to progress towards a career in the police, coast guard or fire services.

"I really struggled with education before I found the HITZ programme and Newcastle College. I wanted to become a firefighter, but I didn't even have any GCSEs, then I saw the HITZ programme with the Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle College and decided to give it a try. Newcastle Falcons HITZ Programme

The Newcastle Falcons Community HITZ programme, in partnership with Newcastle College and Premiership Rugby, is an education and employability course that aims to re-engage young people using sport as a vehicle.

All students on our Level 1 and Level 2 Law, Policing and Protective Services courses will also have access to a programme of guidance and enrichment at the Newcastle Falcons.
