Uniformed Public Services Courses 

Uniformed public services at Newcastle College is the perfect preparation for a wide range of careers in the armed services, police and wider criminal justice system. Courses are developed with public service professionals and you will be challenged through exciting experiences within the classroom and through a variety of outdoor simulation activities.

What you can study

If you'd like to carve out a career in the police, justice system, fire service, coast guard or armed forces - we can support you on your way. The level that you begin at will depend on your final GCSE results. Our guide below gives you an idea of what you could expect:

Typically, if you have or are predicted no qualifications:

• UPS - NEWCASTLE FALCONS HITZ - LEVEL 1

Typically, if you have or are predicted 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above:

• PREPARING FOR UNIFORMED PUBLIC SERVICES - LEVEL 2

• MILITARY ACADEMY - LEVEL 2

Typically, if you have or are predicted 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above:

• MILITARY ACADEMY - LEVEL 3

• POLICE AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY - LEVEL 3
