T-Level - Crime, Criminal Justice and Social Welfare (Legal Services) - Level 3

• 6 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including English and maths.

You may also be asked to undertake an initial assessment at the start of your course to ensure that the T-Level is a suitable route for you.

Upon successful completion of this course you will achieve a Pearson Level 3 T-Level in Legal Services.

Work experience is an important part of your T-Level. You will undertake a substantial work placement with an employer for a minimum of 45 days during your course to help you prepare for your next steps. You will also undertake an employer-set project as part of the course.

English, maths, and digital skills are essential for the T-Level Technical Qualification in Legal Services because they enable you to effectively present technical information, create and interpret legal documents, and communicate clearly with both legal and non-legal audiences. Digital skills are vital for using technology to draft documents, analyse data, and communicate securely and efficiently.

Upon successful completion of this course, you could progress into industry through an apprenticeship or an entry level role.

Alternatively, you can progress into higher education and will be guaranteed a place on a relevant degree at Newcastle College University Centre.

This Technical Qualification aligns to the Paralegal Level 3 Apprenticeship, supporting progression to entry-level job opportunities in legal services. Job roles could include Paralegal, Legal secretary and Usher.
