Solid, liquid and gas - they all matter. There are hundreds of diverse job roles available in the UK's science industry, making science an exciting career choice.
On this Applied Science course, you will have the opportunity to specialise in one of either Analytical Forensics, Biomedical Science, Physical Science or Environmental Science.
You will develop a foundation of laboratory skills to carry out multiple basic practicals in a precise and accurate manner, including titrating, pipetting, weighing and microbiology. You will also develop knowledge of health and safety, and statistical analysis of data, alongside teamworking and communication skills.
You will gain valuable experience conducting experiments using specialist equipment in our industry-standard labs. You will also have the opportunity to visit employers within the industry and may also be able to complete a work placement, to help you develop a greater understanding of the demands of the science industry.
