Whether you’re thinking about a future in healthcare support or working with the ambulance service, this T-Level in Supporting the Adult Nursing Team could kickstart your career in this rewarding industry.

On this two-year course you will benefit from learning in our industry-standard facilities that replicate real hospital wards and health suites. Learning from industry-experienced tutors you will study a range of important topics, such as health and safety regulations, scientific and clinical practice, and infection prevention, as well as theoretical studies of biology, chemistry and physics. You will complete the course with the scientific knowledge and practical experience you need to make a real difference as an important contributor to the adult health industry.

You will also undertake an employer industry placement for a minimum of 45 days throughout your course, giving you the opportunity to put your new skills into practice and thrive in the workplace.

The course is a lot more practical and it’s not all exams, you get to experience something you wouldn’t with A Levels or in school. The course makes you more prepared for the workplace and prepares you for working with patients.

“I’m off to Edinburgh Napier University to study Biomedical Science, and then I plan to do a Master's in Medical Anthropology before going to medical school to get a Doctorate, and eventually be a Forensic Pathologist. Studying the T-Level has really prepared me for the route I want to go down. I spent my placement at the QE Hospital in Gateshead and while it was a little daunting at first to think of all the placement hours required, it has prepared me so well for university and my future career, more than any other route I could have chosen. “I always wanted to work with children, but I chose the T-Level to get a wide range of experience. I spent my placement in care homes, rehab centres and then in primary schools. I would recommend it to anyone, I feel like I’ve gained so much more experience than I would have studying A Levels. It was also great to have such experienced teachers. Their experience of industry was a huge help to me, I learned a lot from them. I’m now going to Northumbria University to study Children’s Nursing.”
