Principles of End-of-Life Care – Level 2 (Online)

Various start dates throughout the year. We will give you the next available start date in response to your application.

The resources will enable you to get an early start if you chose to do so.

• There are no formal entry requirements.
• There will be a short assessment to understand you hold basic English and maths skills and we will support you to develop throughout the course if you need it.

If you complete this course successfully, you will receive an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of End-of-Life Care.

• Understand how to provide support to manage pain and discomfort
• End of life care and dementia
• Understanding the role of the care worker in time of death
• Understand loss and grief in end-of-life care.

You will receive assessment books and learning resources to complete, and you will be linked to a distance learning assessor who will guide you through the course.

Upon enrolment you will be invited to attend online lectures (typically one per unit) to further enrich and support your learning.

English and maths skills are needed within the Health and Social Care industry to challenge discrimination, apply health and safety measures to the environment and take appropriate actions if unsafe practices are identified.

Communication skills are needed to support individuals.

After you complete this course, you may be interested in progressing onto a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or a Level 3 Certificate in Mental Health.
