• Progression from Level 1 qualifications in Childcare

If you complete this course successfully, you will receive a Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Education.

You may have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an educational setting, helping you to apply your learning and explore careers in education.

English is embedded throughout the programme. You will develop your English skills through creative writing, reading stories to children and developing communication skills in placement. Your maths skills will be enhanced when you learn to use accurate measurements for bottle feeds, making juice for children and making sure adult to child ratios are correct.

If you complete this programme successfully, you could choose to progress onto the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners.

If you are aged 16-18 when you begin your course, you are likely to be eligible for free tuition. Detailed information can be found within the financial support section.

You will be required to pay money towards equipment and trips, but this may be paid for you if you qualify for a bursary.
