If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding career in fabrication and welding, this may be the course for you. Whether you want to be a shipbuilding welder, a building construction welder or a fitter, this course will help take you there.

You will learn in our specialist facilities at Newcastle College Energy Academy and have access to industry-standard hand tools and equipment to help develop your skills.

You will learn a number of fabrication and welding techniques from industry-experienced tutors, such as oxyacetylene cutting, plasma arc cutting and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). You will also study topics such as flux welding, pipeline welding and welding mathematics to develop your knowledge and expertise in the field.
