The Performance Academy

Great for the born entertainers amongst our student population, with regular shows and concerts, our Performance Academy is a facility that everyone is encouraged to enjoy. This £21million facility combines award-winning architecture, industry-standard facilities, exciting courses and professional tutors.

Our Performance Academy is home to over 1,000 students enrolled on music and performing arts related courses within the School of Creative Industries.

Facilities at this venue include:

  • 250 seat theatre

  • three performance venues

  • a music venue with professional standard sound, PA, monitoring and lighting

  • ten recording studios with cutting edge digital desks

  • a studio theatre

  • TV studio with pre and post-production facilities

  • radio station

  • nine large dance and acting studios with sprung floors

  • recording and media production facilities

  • social space
