• 1 relevant GCSE at grade 3 or above in a related subject (art, design, media)

If you complete this course successfully you will receive a Pearson BTEC Level 2 in Art and Design Skills.

We regularly host guest lectures and talks with visiting speakers. In addition to this, we also provide you with an opportunity to undertake weekly work experience lessons and help you to secure placements and live briefs with local businesses.

English and Maths skills are vital in digital arts. From conducting research and developing stories, to using measurements and percentages to set up digital projects to the correct size and resolution. We embed these into your course to ensure you have every opportunity to enhance your skills.

If you have not yet achieved a Grade 4 GCSE in English and/or Maths we will support you to achieve these as part of your programme.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to progress to a related Level 3 programme such as Photography or Media Production or an alternative creative course within Newcastle College.
