We will support you and help you find and participate in work experience with local IT companies. This may include live client briefs, days in industry and/or employer workshops. Previously, our learners have worked with Tharsus, Accenture and the NHS.

You will take some of the responsibility in sourcing your own work experience placements.We ask that you get familiar with different parts of the IT industry in the local area and use platforms such as LinkedIn to build up connections with industry experts, who may then be able to directly offer you work experience placements.

Maths is essential in IT and will be embedded into your course through written communications and expression, the learning of technical language, the application of maths within coding and using formulae in spreadsheets and databases.

If you have not achieved GCSE grade 4 in either English or maths, you will be supported through dedicated lessons to achieve these qualifications.

On completion of this course you can progress onto a suitable Level 3 course in IT, games design or esports.
