Hairdressing - Level 3

• A full Level 2 Hairdressing qualification, including Cutting and Colouring

If you complete this course successfully you will receive a City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Hairdressing.

• Monitoring and maintaining health and safety

• Consultation support for colleagues on hair services

• Styling and dressing hair using a variety of hair techniques

• Colouring hair to create a variety of looks

• Hair colour correction

Optional units will include:

You will benefit from working in our real working environment, the Retreat, and gain 315 hours of work experience within industry.

Additional courses, as well as workshops from Revlon, Strawberries and Cream and Westrow Academy will be available.

Trips may include Wella Academy Paris and Professional Hair and Beauty London.

English and maths are required in a hairdressing career for client communications, product and treatment costing, business planning, timings of treatments and product applications, and ratio of product mixing.

On successful completion of this course you can progress to degree level study, such as the FdA in Advanced Make-Up Techniques at Newcastle College University Centre. You could also go straight into employment in the industry.
