• 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

We will introduce you to some of our industry partners such as Visit Northumberland, where you will be able to gain insight into working in the tourism industry as you plan, prepare and deliver tours of your own.

You will also visit Newcastle International Airport to observe the landside services. Your programme of study will be enriched with guest speakers from local hotels and attractions.

English and maths are a vital skill needed for working in the tourism and aviation industry, so whether you are dealing with foreign exchange enquiries on board an aircraft, or providing information on the cost of a tour or attractions, there are endless opportunities for you to use these skills. If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 in English and maths, you will be supported to progress towards achieving them.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to select a Tourism or Aviation pathway and progress onto our Level 3 Introductory Diploma in your chosen area.
