Beauty - Level 2

This is a one year course that leads to either a Level 2 Certificate in Beauty or a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty.

Depending on your GCSE grades when you begin this course, you will be placed on either the Level 2 Certificate or Level 2 Diploma pathway in Beauty.

Upon successful completion of the course you will achieve either a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Therapy or a City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.

Working in our commercial salon The Retreat, you will gain experience providing treatments to real paying clients. Here you will get to grips with industry standard products and tools, helping you to build your confidence and communication skills.

You will also spend 315 hours on work placement throughout your course. Previous students have worked at Dobbies Ladies Night and Copthorne Hotel.

Beauty therapists and aesthetic practitioners rely on maths and English to take measurements, calculate product ratios, payments, costings and timings. We embed maths and English into your programme over the duration of your course.  

If you have not yet achieved GCSE grade 4 in maths and English, you will be supported to achieve these.

You can progress to Level 3 in Beauty Therapy when you successfully complete this course.
