Overview
This course is delivered at Newcastle Aviation Academy based at Newcastle International Airport. The course is designed to meet the needs of industry by producing aircraft maintenance engineering graduates equipped with the necessary technical knowledge, skills and personal and professional qualities to be successful in the exciting and rewarding world of aircraft engineering. The course is mapped to and embeds the knowledge requirements detailed in the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 66 category B1.1 (large commercial) aircraft maintenance engineering licence syllabus. This course will give you all of the theoretical knowledge, practical training and hand and maintenance skills required. The course offers the opportunity to obtain an EASA Part 147 Basic Training Course Certificate of Recognition which reduces the amount of maintenance organisation work experience required for a licence application from five to two years. The EASA licence material is fully embedded throughout the degree programme to give you the best possible chance of success.
