The partnership between Newcastle College and Newcastle United Foundation became a part of local history in May at a celebratory steel signing event.

Newcastle College Principal Scott Bullock and Director of Adult Education Jo Phillips joined other local supporters of the Foundation in a socially distanced ceremony, to leave a permanent mark on its NUCASTLE building by signing one of two steel posts that will stand at its entrance. Although the signatures will be not be visible when the building completes, each signature will become a permanent part of the legacy of the building.

The collaboration with Newcastle United Foundation will help those from our local communities to develop new and vital skills and will support young people to understand the education and career opportunities open to them. New qualifications focused on filling skills gaps across the region are also in development, including new adult education programmes, apprenticeships and BTEC qualifications in e-sports and coaching.
