Counselling Skills - Level 2

This course runs three times per year starting in September, January and May.

You will be notified of the next available start date once you have submitted your application.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Your literacy ability will be assessed as part of your induction to ensure that you can complete to the standard required for the qualification.

As part of this course you will receive skills practice with counsellors from industry.

The environment for learning and varied assessment methods are planned to support and develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours that will improve your work readiness and employment prospects. Assessment activities will be put in place to allow you to improve your English language and numeracy skills and understanding of life and employment in Britain. Provision is flexible to meet the needs of those aiming to re-train in a new career or upskill in their profession.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills, also offered by Newcastle College.
