A SafeLives report shows that between March 2019 and March 2022, the number of domestic abuse cases reported in England and Wales increased by over 20,000; this means that, in the space of only three years, the number of UK adults suffering domestic abuse has risen from 40 to 50 people per 10,000.
Domestic abuse is increasingly prevalent in our society. If you want to increase your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse, its causes, its warning signs and how to prevent it, this is the course for you.
You will learn about a wide range of factors involved in domestic abuse, including its signs and risk factors, the impact of domestic abuse, and the policies and responses used whenever domestic abuse is suspected or reported. Our experienced team of qualified teaching staff will provide the skills, knowledge and support required to contribute to a variety of areas in healthcare, social care, childcare, education and housing.
