Science Biochemical (Pharmacy) Access to Higher Education - Level 3

• GCSEs at Grade 4 or above in English, maths and science.

If you have Level 2 Functional Skills English or maths, but do not yet hold both GCSEs, you may be eligible to study one GCSE alongside your access course.

You will also need to attend an entry test and interview to assess your suitability and potential for the course.

If English is not your first language, you will also need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above.

If you hold a level 2 or higher maths and science qualification from your home country, you may be able to study the course whilst taking GCSE English alongside it. Approval is done on a case-to-case basis, and your qualifications must be translated and NARIC equivalency completed.

Upon succesful completion of this course you will receive an Ascentis Access to HE Diploma in Science (Biochemical).

Upon successful completion of this course, you could progress onto a higher degree course in Biochemical, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy or Physiology, Biotechnology, Optometry, Forensic Science, and other Biology and Chemistry related degrees or a Foundation Degree in Applied Science at Newcastle College University Centre.
