Overview
This one-year performing arts course is aimed at those wishing to gain an understanding of the performing arts industry as well as those wishing to develop performance and production skills.
You will be able to specialise in either dance or acting and work towards a number of subject specific units to develop these performance skills, as well as considering technical and production techniques.
Dance students will study and develop a range of dance techniques whilst acting students will follow a programme of acting skills, voice and speech for performers and performing scripted plays.
Throughout your course, you will have the opportunity to showcase your work to your peers and to the public.

This Newcastle based performance art course offers world-class tuition and is accredited by UAL, one of the UK's top art and design universities.
Course Enrichment
• Productions have included ‘Panto Pandemonium’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Children of Narnia’ and ‘Evolution’, where students have been able to demonstrate performance skills in all areas including acting, movement and singing.
• You will have the opportunity to join the college choir Signature Sound.
• Dance students performed at the 2016 'Can You Dance' festival.
