    Summary of vacancy:

    The Little Haven Hotel is situated on the sea front in South Shields. We are looking for an Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team – this position would suit a person who really wants to be a great Chef, all we ask for is, a genuine passion and flair for high quality, freshly cooked, fresh food…...we can show you the rest.

    Full Description of Position

    • Assisting with food preparation.
    • Helping with deliveries and stock rotation.
    • Contributing to maintain kitchen and food safety standards.
    • Assisting Chefs.
    • Efficient time keeping and time management of both preparation and food service.
    • Ensuring daily/weekly/monthly cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with kitchen policies.

    working week:

    30+ hour working week inclusive of college days, shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.

    Entry requirements: 

    Must have English and Maths grade 3 or above.
