L3 Metal Fabricator Apprentice

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Fabrication Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a “can do” attitude who is looking to build a long-term career within a successful and progressive company that is a leading manufacturer of buckets, quick couplers and other earthmoving attachments.

Role Overview

As an L3 Metal Fabricator Apprentice, you will gain practical experience within a busy fabrication environment while developing the technical skills and knowledge required for a successful career in metal fabrication and welding.

You will be trained to:

  • Carry out fabrication activities using industry-standard techniques
  • Use hand-held plasma cutting equipment
  • Perform oxy/propane cutting and gouging
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Carry out MIG welding and tack welding
  • Use hand-held tools, including grinders
  • Work safely and effectively within a manufacturing environment
  • Support the fabrication team in producing high-quality products

 

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Start time: 7:00am

Hours may increase to 40 hours per week as skill level and experience develop.

 

Wage

  • £8.00 per hour

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience, which may include experience gained within a college environment while completing a Level 2 qualification.
