L3 Machining Technician Apprentice

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic CNC Machinist Apprentice to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a “can do” attitude who is looking to develop a long-term career within a successful and progressive company that is a leading manufacturer of buckets, quick couplers and other earthmoving attachments.

Role Overview
As an L3 Machining Technician Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working within a busy manufacturing environment while developing the skills and knowledge required to become a skilled CNC machinist.
You will be trained to:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Set up and run machining jobs using information from technical drawings
- Program CNC machines using Siemens 840D, Mazak and Fanuc controls
- Operate manual machinery including:
- Manual lathes
- Milling machines
- Saws
- Maintain safe working practices within the workshop environment
- Work as part of an experienced engineering team to produce high-quality components
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Start time: 7:00am
Hours may increase to 40 hours per week as skill level and experience develop.
Wage
- £8.00 per hour
Entry Requirements
Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience, which may include experience gained within a college environment while completing a Level 2 qualification.
