About the Role
John Hall T/A Quickfit Vargon is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Apprentice to join our experienced team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has already completed a Level 2 Automotive qualification and is looking to develop their practical skills while working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship. You will receive hands-on training from experienced technicians in a supportive and professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will:
- Assist experienced mechanics with routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of light vehicles.
- Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using industry-standard diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Carry out basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills throughout your apprenticeship.
What We're Looking For

- A previously completed Level 2 Automotive qualification.
- A genuine interest in the motor vehicle industry and a desire to build a long-term career.
- A basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina to carry out workshop duties.
- A reliable, punctual and positive attitude.
