About the Role

John Hall T/A Quickfit Vargon is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Apprentice to join our experienced team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has already completed a Level 2 Automotive qualification and is looking to develop their practical skills while working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship. You will receive hands-on training from experienced technicians in a supportive and professional workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will:

  • Assist experienced mechanics with routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of light vehicles.
  • Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using industry-standard diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Carry out basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues and customers.
  • Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills throughout your apprenticeship.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have:

  • A previously completed Level 2 Automotive qualification.
  • A genuine interest in the motor vehicle industry and a desire to build a long-term career.
  • A basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Physical stamina to carry out workshop duties.
  • A reliable, punctual and positive attitude.
