About the Role

Billys Automotive Solutions is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician to join our friendly and experienced team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for the motor industry to gain hands-on experience while working towards a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) apprenticeship. You will receive support from experienced technicians as you develop the practical skills and technical knowledge needed for a successful career in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

As an apprentice, you will:

• Assist experienced technicians with servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of light vehicles.
• Learn how to diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, tyre rotations and brake inspections.
• Support the workshop team in preparing vehicles for repair and servicing.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and workshop policies.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and, where appropriate, customers.
• Develop your technical skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship programme.

A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance or previous practical experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Training

You will work towards the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) apprenticeship standard while gaining valuable on-the-job experience with Billys Automotive Solutions.
