Apprenticeship Description
Summary of vacancy:
We are one of the north easts largest fenestration companies. We design, manufacture and install aluminium curtain walling windows and doors. We offer the opportunity to be part of a fast pace environment where you will get to see first-hand all aspects of design, fabrication and installation.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- To be part of a team that collectively strives to meet daily production targets and objectives
- To perform one or all of the following roles that will vary depending on workload, Tape profiles
Saw-man, CNC Operator, Fabricator - To follow the fabrication packs provided carefully, and ask the factory supervisor for clarification whenever there is uncertainty or ambiguity
- To operate the machinery correctly and safely, and report any faults immediately to the factory supervisor
- To ensure your work area is kept tidy and organised
- Carry out weekly daily and weekly checks assigned to you and that all paperwork is
completed - Report any failures, break downs or inaccurate operation of machinery
- Ensure that you report any shortages to you supervisor prior to running out!
- To adhere to health and safety requirements, and ensure that the correct PPE is used
- To follow closely the quality control system with the following documentation being specific to this role
- Check, sign and date completed factory checklists then hand to factory manager immediately
- Ensure that each item accurately complies with specification laid out in the FAB Packs
Days and times of the working week:
8am-4.30pm Mon-Thurs / 8am-3pm Fridays
