Apprenticeship Description

Summary of vacancy:

At Brinkburn St Brewery we love it when our customers love our food and come back for more. To make this happen we take our food seriously, very seriously.

We’re looking for highly motivated people who are passionate about food and love learning. And as we believe that both education and experience are important, we’d love to add a couple of apprentices to our team.

What will you be doing:

Assisting with food preparation

Cooking and preparing elements of dishes.

Assisting other chefs.

Helping with deliveries and restocking.

Assisting with stock rotation.

Contributing to maintain kitchen and food safety standards.

Participating in the cleaning and maintaining of the kitchen and other food preparation and storage areas.

working week:

40 hours per week (inclusive of college), kitchen hours vary but rarely outside 10am-10pm. Weekend Shifts required.

What is the future prospect after the apprenticeship ends:

We are looking for apprentices who can learn from and work alongside our experienced kitchen staff and our Executive Chef.

Ideally, upon completion of their apprenticeship and satisfactory performance, the candidates will be taken on full time as part of the kitchen team.

Entry requirements:

MUST have GCSE maths and english grade 3 or above
