Eligibility Criteria
Category A
in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA).
in receipt of Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and are in the work-related activity group (WRAG).
in receipt of Universal Credit, earn less than 16 times the National Minimum Wage per week or £330 a month and are determined by Jobcentre Plus (JCP) as being in one of the following groups: - All Work Related Requirements Group - Work Preparation Group - Work Focused Interview Group.
in receipt of other state benefits and earn less than 16 times the National Minimum Wage a week or £330 a month, want to be employed and are undertaking learning that is directly relevant to your employment prospects and the local labour market needs.
earn an annual gross salary of less than £19,305 (North of Tyne) and £18,525 (non North of Tyne).
aged 19-23 and planning to study towards your first full Level 2 or first full Level 3.
Category B
employed and earning between £19,305 and £21,000 (North of Tyne) or between £18,525 and £21,000 (non North of Tyne), planning to study up to and including Level 2. This will show the contribution to be paid towards the course.
Category C
if none of the eligibility criteria for category A or B apply, you will pay the full cost fee for the course.
