Intraining North East recommended the Business Administration Apprenticeship as a way for UKIM to find the perfect candidate. The flexibility of the programme meant that they could tailor the development of their apprentice to meet the needs of the administration team.
UKIM utilised the college’s free recruitment and matching service to help them find the ideal candidate. Working alongside UKIM, the college were able to draw up a shortlist of potential candidates that were suited to the position.
Candidates were pre-screened and interviewed by the Apprenticeship team prior to being forwarded to UKIM to ensure that they met the requirements of the role. Saving both time and money, the company were able to interview candidates that matched the criteria.
Results
UKIM has a key focus on excellence within the business and by taking advantage of the additional support made available to them the college they successfully appointed Justine Laws, 17, as a Business Administration Apprentice.
Justine works primarily within the administration team, handling highly confidential documents and information that abides by data protection and confidentiality. This information is utilised by solicitors, insurance brokers, medical experts and patients that require medical evidence.
UKIM have been able to find a candidate perfectly suited to the operations of their business and hope to continue to use the Apprenticeship programme to recruit and develop new members of their team that contribute to their business growth.
