Cashless Campus
Newcastle College operates a cashless catering system across the entire campus (including our Specialist Centres) to help reduce administration and cash handling, allowing students to carry less cash to college.
If you need to use cash on our Rye Hill campus, you can go to Campus Kitchen in the Trevelyan building, or to the canteen on our Riverside Dene campus. All our other outlets are cashless, so they will only accept credit or debit card payments.
If you study in one of our Specialist Centres (i.e. the Automotive Academy, Aviation Academy, Energy Academy or Rail and Civil Engineering Academy), you will need a debit card to purchase food or drink from our outlets as they do not have the ability to accept cash payments.
