Hewitson North East Roofing Contractors are trusted specialists in roofing services across the North East. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, reliability, and developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

We’re looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Level 2 Roofer Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in the construction industry, gain hands-on experience, and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of various roofing systems, including pitched, flat, and tiled roofs

• Learn how to measure, cut, and fit roofing materials

• Remove old or damaged roofs and prepare surfaces for new installations

• Support the team with loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean, safe worksite

• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Attend college or training sessions as part of your apprenticeship programme

Hours & Pay

• Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

• Pay: £7.55 per hour

Requirements

• Genuine interest in construction and roofing

• Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights

• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn

• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset

• Must be able to travel to Blyth at the start of each working day
