About the Role

WMA Vehicle Hire Limited, trading as Bedlington MOT and Service Centre, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing your Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) apprenticeship. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals and develop the skills needed for a successful career in the motor industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist experienced mechanics with routine maintenance and vehicle repairs.

• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.

• Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.

• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure quality service.

Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm

• Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Progression Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to progress into a full-time permanent position with the garage.
