About the Role

Addington Motor Engineering is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance (Light Vehicle). You’ll work alongside experienced technicians in a supportive environment that encourages growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced mechanics with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks

  • Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using industry-standard tools and equipment

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations

  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety guidelines

  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient working environment

  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers

What We’re Looking For

Technical Aptitude – Basic understanding of vehicle systems and components

  • Attention to Detail – Ability to carry out tasks with care and precision

  • Problem-Solving Skills – Eagerness to identify and resolve mechanical issues

  • Physical Stamina – Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions

  • Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication

  • Reliability – Punctual, dependable, and committed to the role

  • MUST HAVE GRADE 4 IN MATHS AND ENGLISH/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS LEVEL 2
