On 3 March 2020, Ofsted visited Newcastle College Day Nursery to conduct a full inspection.

The Newcastle College Day Nursery 2020 Ofsted Report scored the Day Nursery as 'Outstanding', with no recommendations to make for improvement. Key highlights included:

Newcastle College Day Nursery was rated 'Outstanding' across all categories, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.
the Day Nursery Team demonstrated to inspectors the ‘vital, significant and positive’ impact it has on the young people in its care.
colleagues at the Day Nursery have made a big difference in particular to the lives of asylum seekers and parents with refugee status.
the Day Nursery Team works incredibly hard to create a stimulating and welcoming environment to inspire children’s curiosity and exploration.
