When you study Health and Social Care at Newcastle College you will learn in an environment which looks and feels like a working hospital. 

Health and Social Care students have access to a whole floor dedicated to healthcare training. Built to the standards of a modern hospital, you will find four hospital wards and everything you need to be able to experience life within the healthcare sector. 

Based in our Parsons Building you will have access to facilities which include:

  • two fully-functioning hospital wards with five and six beds with nurses’ station

  • two-bed paediatric ward

  • two-bed intensive care unit

  • fully operational hospital reception

  • scrub room

  • a two-floor flat with a working kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with hoist for domiciliary care

  • science lab

  • ageing suits and goggles.
