Do you dream of being a chef? This part-time Food Production and Cooking course will have you 'cooking on gas' towards a career in the catering and hospitality sector.

Under our experienced chefs, you will learn the basics of preparing, cooking and finishing basic dishes, desserts, soups and sauces.

You'll learn in our professional standard kitchens where you can get to grips with industry equipment and develop your knowledge in food health and safety practises.

You will develop key transferable skills aligned to industry standards and expectations. You will also access state-of-the-art kitchens fully equipped with sector-specific equipment whilst developing core soft skills.

What can I do with a qualification in Hospitality

Daily tasks:

  • Makes cake decorations, spreads icing, fillings and toppings on products.
  • Bakes bread, pastry and cakes.
  • Fills and glazes pastry, mixes ingredients for cakes.
  • Rolls and cuts pastry, stretches, kneads and moulds dough to form bread, rolls and buns.
  • Mixes ingredients using hand or machine to obtain the required consistency.
  • Weighs ingredients according to recipe.
