Learning for Life

Do you have a disability or learning difficulty? Are you looking to progress to employment? Want to live more independently? Our Learning for Life programme is tailor-made around you, your interests and what skills you'd like to develop.

If you'd like to live more independently, you could spend time developing life skills such as cooking, travelling and meeting new people.

You could gain work experience in our on-campus cafe, or if you're ready to move into work, a Supported Internship with a local company might be more suitable. We work with employers including Dance City, Vue Cinema, Tyne Riverside Cafe and The Biscuit Factory. You could even progress to an apprenticeship.

We also offer anĀ autism base room and community rooms, where you'll find a safe space to relax and make friends between your lessons.
