As the weather grows colder and the cost of food continues to rise, food outlets across Newcastle College are now providing discounted breakfasts and lunches to both colleagues and students.
Alongside the usual breakfast offering, beans on toast is now priced at just 40p and a £1 dish of the day is available at lunchtime every day. The dish varies at each outlet depending on menus and availability and is available to anyone who wants them.
The ‘Winter Warmer’ initiative is in place to help those students and colleagues who may be struggling during these difficult times. Plans are also being drawn up by the College to ensure that leftover food from lunchtime service will not go to waste and can be made available at the end of each day to those who need it most.
