Newcastle College is proud to share the fantastic news that Newcastle College Day Nursery has received an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted.

An Ofsted inspector visited the nursery in early March and rated the team as outstanding across all categories; quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.

After a full day’s inspection the team received excellent feedback, which stated that the nursery had shown the ‘vital, significant and positive’ impact it has on the young people in its care.

The inspector also spoke to a number of parents using the nursery and noted that colleagues at the nursery have made a big difference in particular to the lives of asylum seekers and parents with refugee status.

No recommendations were made for improvement and the full report was published in late March. It reports that ‘the manager and her team work incredibly hard to create a stimulating and welcoming environment to inspire children’s curiosity and exploration.’

"Congratulations and well done to all of the team for the efforts they make every day to enrich the lives of the young people in their care."
