Supporting National Apprenticeship Week

Newcastle College is proud to support National Apprenticeship Week which takes place from 4 to 8 March 2019. We're hosting a range of events and activities for young people, employers and our own apprentices.

What will YOU be doing during National Apprenticeship Week?

Our Apprenticeship team will be busy delivering the following events:

Tuesday 5 March

We’ll be hosting a business focused breakfast event 'Unlocking the Power of Apprenticeships' in the Chefs’ Academy. The event is for employers who might still have questions and concerns about apprenticeships and whether they can really work for them. There’ll be workshops which will help both the apprenticeships team and the employers understand the challenges of beginning an apprenticeship programme in a business and how to overcome them.

Wednesday 6 March

Looking for an Apprenticeship?

We invite you to come along to our Apprenticeship Open Event on Wednesday 6 March for advice and guidance from our team of experts.
We'll be on hand to talk to you about the range of career paths, offer you some top tips finding your perfect apprenticeship and demonstrate the skills you could learn along the way.

Thursday 7 March

Time to celebrate at our annual Apprenticeship Awards.
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the success of apprentices who have gone above and beyond, made a significant contribution, or overcome barriers to succeed.
The event provides a platform for apprentices and employers to share their stories and successes and gives the College the opportunity to engage with apprentices and employers and recognise how important apprenticeships are to the region.
