The newly developed MA in Creative and Professional Practice (Performing Arts) programme will challenge you
not only in your range of knowledge and skills but through increasing autonomy and industrial confidence.
You will experience a selection of intensive creative processes exploring choreographic, psychosomatic and/or
devising principles through dance and/or acting.

The multidisciplinary nature of this course will expose you to a range of practical, methodological and philosophical discourses relevant to a contemporary creative and performance practice. Collaboration will optimise learning opportunities across all practical and theoretical activity and will prepare you for a range of careers within the
creative industries.

  • Manages health and safety issues.
  • Ensures necessary equipment, props, performers and technical staff are on set when required.
  • Prepares rehearsal and production schedule for main events, design of sets and costumes, technical rehearsals and dress rehearsals.
  • Breaks script into scenes and formulates a shooting schedule that will be most economical in terms of time, location and sets.
  • Directs actors, designers, camera team, sound crew and other production and technical staff to achieve desired effects.
  • Chooses writers, scripts, technical staff and performers, and assumes overall responsibility for completion of project on time and within budget.
