Are you passionate about hair design? Do you want to be a cut above in this exciting and creative industry?
On the Hair Professional apprenticeship you will learn the skills to be able to carry out this exciting hairdressing salon role, including washing and styling hair, cutting and colour services, as well as the essential day to day booking appointments and working on the reception. You will have the opportunity to carry out and receive treatments on other students and also provide a range of suitable models on a weekly basis.
Working in industry, you will learn on the job whilst learning alongside tutors and industry-experienced experts at Newcastle College.

Daily tasks:
- Ensures custody of all cash receipts and organises regular stock checks.
- Recruits, supervises and trains staff.
- Determines financial, staffing, material and other short- and long-term needs.
- Advises on the facilities available and promotes publicity in relation to shows, games, races, new theme parks, etc..
- Keeps abreast of new trends and developments in recreational activities and arranges exhibitions, theatrical productions, concerts, demonstrations etc..
- Ensures that facilities are kept clean and in good condition and that appropriate health and safety requirements are adhered to.
- Organises timetable of activities/schedule of programmes.
