Pass or higher in Level 5 Foundation Degree, Diploma in Higher Education or HND (related to Computer Science and/or Digital Technologies subjects).

You may be invited to a discretionary interview.

If you are a current Newcastle College student and successfully meet the published Level 5 entry criteria in an appropriate subject[s], you will be guaranteed a place on this course.             

Applicants are normally expected to have achieved grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English or the Level 2 equivalent (i.e. Functional Skills or Adult Literacy/Numeracy).

You will be encouraged to secure a work placement to complement your studies, applying theory to practice in an industry setting.  You will benefit from industry insight from guest lectures from employers such as High Tea Frog. You may have the opportunity to attend EGX Rezzed, an annual gaming conference held in London to gain industry insight and to network with potential employers.

Once you complete your degree you may decide to continue your studies and progress onto an appropriate Masters degree or PGCE to pursue a career in teaching. You may also choose to seek employment in a range of roles including games developer, games designer, QA tester, animator or asset designer.
