Are you excited by the digital sector and want to develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed? Do you want to specialise in digital infrastructure and learn how to install, test and manage both physical and virtual infrastructure? If so, this Digital Infrastructure T-Level, which has been designed in collaboration with employers, could be the course for you.

As part of this course, you will study topics such as data, digital environments and security and learn how to apply procedures and controls to maintain the digital security of an organisation and its data. You’ll develop key skills such as problem solving and decision making, communication and teamwork to help prepare you for your next step. What’s more, you’ll undertake an industry placement for a minimum of 45 days with an employer to help put what you’ve learnt on your course into practice.

You’ll have access to industry-standard software and equipment and learn from tutors who have years of experience working in the sector and are here to get you where you want to be.

Daily tasks:

  • Ensures that new technologies are researched and evaluated in the light of the organisation.
  • Prioritises and schedules major IT/telecommunications projects.
  • Considers the required IT/telecommunications staffing levels, oversees recruitment and appointment of staff and directs training policy.
  • Develops the periodic business plan and operational budget for IT/telecommunications to deliver agreed service levels.
  • Directs the implementation within the organisation of IT/telecommunications strategy, infrastructure, procurement, procedures and standards.
  • Develops in consultation with other senior management the IT/telecommunications strategy of the organisation.
