Do you have a passion for fitness? Do you dream of managing or owning your own gym one day? This course in Gym Instructing and Personal Training could be perfect for you and lead to a rewarding and flexible career as a Personal Trainer.

You will train in an industry leading gym, learning how to lead one-to-one and group training. You will develop an understanding of healthy living, wellbeing and nutrition, as well as a core understanding of business and marketing to kickstart your career.

This course is accredited by Active IQ and is recognised around the world, enabling you to work as a qualified gym instructor or personal trainer. You could even have the opportunity to undertake additional qualifications in areas such as nutrition, circuit training, suspension training and kettlebell training.

You can choose from a range of start dates and whether you would like to study full-time or part-time, allowing you to train around your existing work and life commitments.

  • Deals with administrative aspects such as arranging matches, contests or appearances for athlete or team, and organising required transport and accommodation.
  • Monitors and analyses technique and performance, and determines how future improvements can be made.
  • Controls team selection and discipline and recruits ancillary staff such as coaches or physiotherapists.
  • Coaches teams or individuals by demonstrating techniques and directing training and exercise sessions.
